[March 27, 2012] CHICAGO – “Kings of the Court Brought to You by Mercedes-Benz,” a one-hour television special, will air at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 1, on CBS. The program features one-on-one interviews by CBS Sports analyst Seth Davis with Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, Louisville’s Rick Pitino and Connecticut’s Geno Auriemma. Additionally featured are two coaches with more than 1,800 combined wins in Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski and Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, as well as four-time Big 12 Coach of the Year, Kansas’ Bill Self.

“Kings of the Court Brought to You by Mercedes-Benz” allows viewers to get inside the minds of six of the greatest leaders in sports as they relive crucial moments from their illustrious careers. Fans can hear Boeheim talk about his love of Syracuse and what’s kept him there since 1976 and whether Pitino regrets leaving Providence or Kentucky for the NBA more. Plus, viewers can travel back in time 20 years to one of the greatest NCAA Tournament games in history when Duke’s Christian Laettner hit “The Shot” to beat Pitino and Kentucky in 1992.
Viewers will also get a behind-the-scenes look at Duke’s pre-season trip to China and Dubai. The Blue Devils took on the Chinese national team in Shanghai to prepare for the season, but, more importantly, the trip allowed the team to form deeper bonds while experiencing a completely different way of life.
