OVERVIEW
Eight of college baseball’s premier power-hitters will gather to put on a slugfest at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. Some of the nation’s top ballplayers took part in the 2011 College Home Run Derby, including the nation’s No. 1 home run hitter, Georgia Southern’s Victor Roache, and Collegiate Baseball’s Freshman of the Year, College of Charleston’s Daniel Aldrich. The derby was a hit on television as well, drawing in over 1.3 million viewers nationwide.
The 2013 Home Run Derby will be taped and will air on ESPN Thursday, July 4, at 7 p.m. CDT.
